Altitude Warning
Love is in the air, but not a lot of oxygen! The town of Ketchum is located ~6,000 ft above sea level. The top of Sun Valley mountain is 9,000 ft above sea level.
Symptoms of altitude sickness: Nausea, dizziness, vomiting, headache, fatigue, shortness of breath
How to Prepare
Hydrate the week before travel heavily, and be sure to get plenty of electrolytes
Eat carbs- not the time to try keto! Carbs aid in oxygen absorption
Drink alcohol responsibly. The effects will feel greater at altitude
Pack Advil, anti-nausea medications, and sunblock
Arrive early, a day or two before the wedding events, to acclimate
Take it slow: Avoid overly strenuous activity if feeling altitude effects

Flying to Boise, ID
From Boise: Boise International Airport (BOI) is located ~3 hours from Sun Valley, ID. Please use caution if renting a car and driving in the snow.
Bus: The Sun Valley Express. Daily departures to SV at 3:30 pm and returns to Boise in the mornings. Book a ticket 48hrs in advance with:

Flying "direct" to Sun Valley
From Hailey: Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) is ~25 minutes from Sun Valley, ID. Taxis, rental cars, and shuttles are available from Hailey to Sun Valley.
Hotel Shuttle: Limelight and Sun Valley resort guests’ shuttles at any time
Please notify the Limelight or Sun Valley resort of your arrival time so the shuttle can pick you up! This service is available exclusively to hotel guests.
Taxi: Uber and Lyft are sparse to non-existent in Sun Valley. Book ahead from the options here: WRV-Transportation-Information-11.11.25.pdf
Bus: Mountain Rides offers transportation from the airport and throughout town. Download the app and review the schedule here: Airport – Mountain Rides
Car Rental: Enterprise, Budget, Hertz, and Avis operate out of Hailey airport.
We strongly recommend flying into Hailey. To accommodate travel times and potential delays, fly in on Thursday, March 19th.

Driving
If driving from Seattle, Denver, or another location, please use caution, as some areas of the road do not have cell service.
By the end of March, it is considered early spring, and roads are generally OK to drive.
Scheduled Event Details
Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Reception
Roundhouse Lodge, Baldy Mountain.
Directions: Accessible without ski equipment. Proceed to River Run Lodge. This is the base of Baldy Mountain, located in Ketchum.
Proceed to the walk-on gondola and take it up to the only stop. Please be advised that Roundhouse Lodge is not handicap accessible and requires ~35 stair steps to reach from the gondola drop-off point into the restaurant. (pictured)
Shuttles are available from the lobby of the Limelight hotel every 5-10 minutes continuously ahead of the rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. Or take the Local Bus to River Run Bus Tracker – Mountain Rides. Plan to arrive by 5:45 pm if you are a rehearsal dinner guest, or by 7:30 pm for the gondola ride to the welcome reception.
Sun Valley Resort Shuttle: available by request for hotel guests. Simply call the front desk! Shuttles run from the Sun Valley resort into town and to ski lifts.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Directions: The gallery is located at 400 1st Ave N, Ketchum, ID 83340, and is walkable from most hotels.
Shuttles: Available from the lobby of the Limelight hotel every 5-10 minutes continuously ahead of the ceremony. Or take the Local Bus to Main & 4th and walk the short block or two from there Bus Tracker – Mountain Rides . Please plan to arrive by 4:45 p.m. at the latest for a prompt 5:00 pm ceremony start.
Sun Valley Resort Shuttle: available by request for hotel guests. Simply call the front desk! Shuttles run from the Sun Valley resort into town and to ski lifts.
After Party
Whiskey’s on Main
Directions: The afterparty is located a 4-block walk from the reception at 251 N. Main St., Ketchum, ID. It is one block away from the Limelight Hotel. A quick and easy walk for most!
Shuttles: The Limelight hotel shuttle will be available returning to the Limelight or the afterparty. To return to other locations or airbnbs, please arrange transport via taxi service WRV-Transportation-Information-11.11.25.pdf or local bus Bus Tracker – Mountain Rides.

Staying in central Ketchum is ideal for access to surrounding activities and wedding events! If you plan to rent a car to get further outside of downtown, that's great, too. Local buses are available from the ski hill downtown, but other activities or travel from your rental home may require a car.

The Sun Valley Resort has multiple lodging properties, including, but not limited to, homes, townhouses, condos, an Inn, and the main resort. It is located ~1 mile from central Ketchum and provides free shuttles to and from town. It is located in its own small village with some other restaurants, shops, and kids' activities such as arcades, bowling, and ice skating. This is the only option in town with a full spa on site.

One of two Best Western properties in town, the Kentwood Lodge is located directly across the street from the Limelight Hotel, making it convenient to shops and restaurants, other guests, and wedding events. The other property, the Best Western Tyrolean Lodge, is located closer to the ski slopes (however not quite walkable with ski gear) and a little further from town.
